The Kelso School Board voted unanimously Monday to put a $28 million bond on the Feb. 10, 2027, special election ballot.

If approved, the bond would pay for new roofs and heating systems at two elementary schools. The district estimates it would cost property owners about 45 cents per $1,000 of assessed value.
